Supplying your branding, screenshots & photos

Brand guidelines & graphic style

To make sure that your video matches your brand, please email the Studio

  • Your corporate brand guidance document. This will show your preferred fonts, palette, corporate branding guidelines etc
  • Your logo, ideally as a vector file. A vector file is an .eps or .ai file, scalable to any size. Your graphic designer will know what this is.
  • Any publicity material where you like the style, and want us to match / develop it. Eg your new brochure

If you need to supply screenshots

Screenshots - take these full-screen, as large as possible on the biggest monitor you have.

The designer will resize them as appropriate.

Please check that all screenshots, prior to sending to Studio

  • Accurately portray what you want the audience to see.
  • Include relevant data
  • Contain no security risks
  • Are described and saved as your outline storyboard number, (remember that every phrase or sentence in the storyboard is numbered, as is the matching image)

When in doubt, check the relevant sentence in the outline storyboard

If there is something in shot that is wrong and unavoidable, please provide a note with the image indicating what should be cropped out.

Studio enhancements we offer:

  • zoom up to 1/3rd, cropping edges
  • removal of small unsightly data elements
The Studio will also add captions, highlights, boxes, arrows as required.

Forms and documents

Where a form or document is specified, where possible please send a pdf of the doc to the studio rather than take a photograph.

Photography guidance

On the outline storyboard, the Studio will supply a list of all shots required, with a key.

Some photographs will already be available, eg, company asset stock, marked “e”

- while some photographs will need to be taken, marked “p”

Studio supplied images are marked “s”

Mobile phone shots at around 4,000 pixels are fine.

Please check all images first prior to sending to the Studio.

  • They accurately portray what you want the audience to see, If in doubt check the relevant script line
  • The area is clean & tidy
  • Contain no hazards
  • Have no unsightly or unsafe background material
  • Avoid lots of dark in picture
  • Are numbered by storyboard number, not by default phone camera number

Also consider whether you want people in the photograph, or not. If yes, have release forms been signed? This means that everyone has given their consent to be in the video.

The biggest source of error is people in shot who are unsafe or untidy,

eg, hair not tied, PPE missing or damaged, stood in the wrong place, too close for COVID.

eg. a bad tattoo, or poor appearance, or something not representative of your company.

Generally if a person isn’t relevant to the sentence being spoken, leave them out. This reduces the likelihood of problems.
When in doubt, check the relevant sentence in the storyboard doc

If there is something in shot that is wrong and unavoidable, please provide a note with the photo indicating what should be cropped out.

Studio enhancements we offer:

  • zoom up to 1/3rd, cropping edges
  • colour correct and light correct
  • removal of small unsightly objects, if necessary
